Nell Minow, the Movie Mom, gives Jimmy and Monty her take on this week’s new releases:

Identity Theft: (If you’ve seen the ad) Then you have seen every funny moment in the movie already. It is just awful, and what a heartbreak because I love Melissa McCarthy…love Jason Bateman, but his is just a train wreck of a movie.

Side Effects: I’m gonna recommend that you not look at the commercials. I think they give much too much away. But it’s got a great cast with Jude Law, Channing Tatum, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Rooney Mara. And it’s a nicely, nasty twisty thriller that will take you in a direction that you were not anticipating.

Renting? Disney’s “Peter Pan” out on Blu-Ray for the first time, the “not very good” Tyler Perry movie “Alex Cross”, and an “excellent performance” by Denzel Washington in “Flight” (with a “super scary” plane crash scene).
