Not only will Dolly Parton be honored with the Tex Ritter Award for her film Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors at the 2016 ACM Awards, but she will be giving a special performance with pop star Katy Perry.
The duet marks the first time Parton and Perry have performed together live, and tops off an already star-studded affair that includes several big names set to perform, like Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and many more.
Perry expressed her enthusiasm and humility over social media, “MY PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED,” she tweeted. “I shall remember though that I am but one sequin on this living legend’s costume!”
The ACM Awards air live from MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 3rd at 8:00pm ET on CBS.
