The song is called “Oh, Sunday Night,” and it mixes together country, rock and pop. “I love being part of the Sunday Night Football family and can’t wait for the fans to hear the new theme song,” Underwood said, according to a press release.

“Earlier this offseason, Carrie said she had a special idea for a new SNF open song. When we got into the recording studio in Nashville, the song instantly came to life, and will be a dynamic addition to our show,” said SNF Executive Producer Fed Gaudelli.

The song may sound familiar to Underwood’s fans. It’s set to the music of her 2014 hit with Miranda Lambert “Somethin’ Bad.” She worked closely with the song’s writers, Chris DeStefano, Brett James, and Priscilla Renea, to rewrite it as a football themed tune.

The show’s theme since 2006 has been “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” which was set to Joan Jett’s song “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” Pink sang the song in 2006, but Faith Hill took over singing duties in 2007 until Underwood replaced her. The 2016-2017 season will mark Underwood’s fourth with the show.

Those interested in hearing the new theme song will have to wait until the start of the official NFL season. Underwood will debut it on September 11th. For now, watch “Somethin’ Bad” below.
