Marc-Andre Fleury made his return to the ‘burgh last night (02/17). It’s still kind of weird seeing him in the opposite goal wearing a Las Vegas Golden Knights jersey, but hey, he looks great.
He was all smiles with all of our Pens and it genuinely looked like they were having fun and happy to see each other.
Fleury was honored with a video tribute in the first period of the game followed by a standing ovation by every Pen’s fan in PPG Paints Arena.
Check it out:
Three-time Stanley Cup Champion.
Two-time Penguins MVP.
One incredible goaltender and human being.
Thank you for everything, Flower. pic.twitter.com/sXSFwmmUeP

Mario Lemieux, David Morehouse, Jim Rutherford, and the coaching staff granted Fleury with his third Stanley Cup championship ring earlier that morning.
Mario: “Should be fun tonight!”
Fleury: “A little weird, maybe. Hopefully the fans don’t throw too many tomatoes (laughs).” pic.twitter.com/PxMwqo0iXr

Fleury made 33 stops in goal, but thankfully… it wasn’t enough. Sorry, Flower!
Our Pittsburgh Penguins got the win, 5 to 4, against the Golden Knights.
The Pens will be in Dallas this Friday.
