James Harrison broke the hearts of Pittsburghers and Steelers fans everywhere when he joined the New England Patriots on December 26th, 2017. After being part of the team for less than four months, Harrison has announced his (second and final) retirement.

I've missed way too much for way too long...and I'm done. Many thanks to my family, coaches, the fans, and everyone who played a role in my football life. #2ndAndFinalRetirement #HarrisonFamilyValues #BlessedAndHighlyFavored #GodsPlan ----

He made the move in an attempt to win himself a third and final Super Bowl ring.

Don't you wonder how long he's been planning this, though? Harrison is weeks away from turning 40 (May 4th), so the timing makes sense. It's just interesting he made the decision to retire as a Patriot and not a Steeler.

Harrison announced his first retirement back in 2014.
