Who doesn't love game night?!

Monopoly was one of my FAVORITE games growing up!

I would always outlast and bankrupt all of the players and build ALL of the hotels on the properties, but never did I consider a gender pay gap or my gender for that matter playing a factor in the game.. Not until now.

Hasbro is launching a new version of the iconic board game that celebrates female trailblazers and addresses the gender pay gap with Ms. Monopoly.

The new game includes several modern updates such as ride shares instead of railroads and Wi-Fi instead of water works, as well as women having the upper hand.

The banker doles out $1,900 in Monopoly Money to each female player and $1,500 to each male. The gap continues every time a player passes go with women collecting $240 and men $200.

Instead of investing in real estate properties like the classic game, players invest in inventions and innovations made by women, including chocolate chip cookies, bulletproof vests, solar heating and ladies’ modern shapewear.

Other updates to the game include new tokens including a white hat, a watch, a barbell, a glass and a jet plane.

If that sounds like a game you're interested in for a wild night in, the game goes on sale this month at major national retailers for a suggested price of $19.99.
