Tom Hanks Is Nominated For An Oscar For Mister Rogers' Neighborhood!

Yinzers LOVED Tom Hanks in the role of Mister Rogers and now he is receiving national recognition for it!

The Oscar nominations were announced early Monday morning, with Tom Hanks scoring an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal as Fred Rogers in “A Beautiful Day in The Neighborhood”.

This is not Tom's first nomination for the role. Tom was also nominated for a Golden Globe for his role, but lost to Brad Pitt. 

Tom will be up against Anthony Hopkins for “The Two Popes,” Al Pacino for the "Irishman", Joe Pesci for “The Irishman” and Brad Pitt for “Once Upon a Time ... In Hollywood.”

The Oscars will air on ABC February 9th at 8pm.
