Tom Hanks Shows Love For Pittsburgh Following Synagogue Shooting

Actor Tom Hanks, who has been in Pittsburgh filming a movie about Mister Rogers, tweeted about the tragic events that unfolded Saturday at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill.

He shared a photo of a sign in front of a house in Pittsburgh. The sign reads "Love Thy Neighbor, No Exceptions."

Hanks had origianlly tweeted the photo earlier in October. Saturday when he shared it again, he included the message, "Again, to me this photo is the spirit of Pittsburgh- with a broken heart today for those in Squirrel Hill ... Hanx"

Hanks plays Fred Rogers in the upcoming film, "You Are My Friend," about the real-life relationship between journalist Tom Junod and Rogers and how the resulting friendship changed Junod’s life.
